Goals
- Clarify the Nature Positive goal as a global ambition to halt and reverse nature loss, and emphasize the importance of grounding Nature Positive actions in a robust application of the mitigation hierarchy.
- Promote technical dialogue among members of the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management (CEM) – IMEC group, course and brief authors, and other stakeholders on effective implementation of the mitigation hierarchy.
- Disseminate useful materials for practitioners, including technical briefs, courses in IUCN Academy and other useful materials.
- Foster collaboration and capacity-building, supporting stakeholders across sectors in designing and implementing credible, science-based Nature Positive strategies.
